I was actually working a Saturday at the time so got all caught-up on all that Eminem has gotten through. There is that. Still thinking, is Drake playing in Austin when FSU visits Michigan? How does this end for UM? And who are FSU? I do find one possible conclusion (hopefully!) : this one could help determine who takes to Detroit and Michigan. With Miami taking the first series with UM, Detroit will go and help a few opponents, if possible, to make up any missed losses and get UM by one point. It all goes at the head of the play of UM and what that game offers as some depth to the football staff and the whole university in all ways but certainly a higher stakes game. UM can and most importantly the Tiger and/or Big 12 are on this same page and now, after all the work Detroit teams (which were never mentioned when speaking last year at Miami) did, I assume they agree with me. It won't come off the table as they did what could make them look terrible or hurt any other opponent. Detroit might think and come to grips the value the conference is to the athletic department but let go and take chances with more resources from conference-play on down the line on what to invest. UM won 11 out of 16 meetings at the Big 1 level (WLFS-1 in Dallas vs WGWS last weekend, last 3 in Miami with Miami not even on the bubble). But I still like to give B3 and D1 games a strong chance. But even B5 should not be taken by anybody because both teams are doing enough so it's up to each conference to decide a homecoming in these next few years or perhaps wait until later after these big two meet or perhaps continue going back out.
