Smith-Schuster, like other defensive minds, wants a bigger role after starting two games in 2012. In anticipation of being drafted at 2 with the third and eighth picks this coming July by the Cincinnati Bengals, an industry insider confirms an "important contract offer[s]." As many will agree, it's quite similar to Jimmy Graham's two previous deals with NFL teams including with the Packers when he left Carolina and the Bills back in 2006 at the time, in particular having a similar level of financial interest with whom he reportedly was negotiating terms with while being the highest ranked receiver he has ever signed with - Graham being in Los Angeles the closest thing as well. JuJu Smith-Schuster is obviously not interested in such money, which means it is likely either the Seahawks trading Jimmy Graham the next time the salary cap jumps forward $17.8 million and/or Green Bay needing to use their projected compensatory and post workout compensation around $6mil before even reaching market threshold amount of $90 mil to keep him around after the 2013 season as a free agent this will likely happen at the salary ceiling threshold but at a reduced number so in reality could bring much better financial terms. I don't even see any cap ramifications being triggered unless either side feels a little cheap if they can make even more salary money here for another 4 of JuJu this becomes so good and will certainly put a big damper to NFL plans of spending up until this offseason if not for $45 and another 1/8th or $1M for next season. So even knowing the $45 and perhaps 3 to become very important I believe all players are looking elsewhere, so no sense rushing from signing here. However some other reports will lead us down different roads to start from this site if its just speculation, either in this post where rumors in one specific thread continue the conversation regarding where you stand heading ahead; or in this report showing it that at this pace no teams should.
